Craft Machine Works, Inc. has the expertise, facilities and equipment to fabricate, weld, heat treat, machine, assemble and test large and complex components to demanding specifications.

Craft is a nationally recognized manufacturer of large custom-built products for industry and defense. Products have included an unusually wide variety of mechanical assemblies and structures. As both a prime contractor and a subcontractor, Craft has provided designs and hardware now in use by the Army, Navy, D.O.E., NASA, and many other government agencies. We also have a large commercial customer base in such industries as construction equipment, steel/paper mill equipment, power generation, bulk material handling and specialized lifting fixtures. Craft excels where requirements for fabrication, machining and assembly must effectively converge to create large and complex components meeting stringent standards.

The 100,000 square foot main facility includes administrative, engineering, and quality assurance offices, a large machine shop and a heavy machine and assembly shop with several outside platens and rail siding. The facility has 40 tons of lifting capacity and has over 50 machine tools capable of turning and milling parts up to 30 feet. This diverse equipment allows accurate and efficient machining of a wide range of components required by our customers. .


 In addition to its main facilities, the Craft fabrication shop provides an additional 40,000 square feet to be used in support of Craft's projects. CNC plasma arc and oxy-fuel burning systems will cut up to 15" inch thick steel plate as well as aluminum and stainless. Welding equipment is available to perform MIG, MAG, SAW, GMAW and SMAW processes. The company is qualified by AWS, ASME, and Military Codes to weld a full range of metals from carbon steel through the stainless series, high molybdenum alloys, the tempered alloy group (HY -80 to HY-130), aluminum, copper-nickel, and the nickel-copper alloys. 

Craft maintains a professional staff of engineers and designers. A multi-disciplined team can be assigned to a project with expertise in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and structural engineering as well as computer aided design and drafting. Unique designs and processes are routinely developed to meet customer needs.

Craft's Quality Assurance procedures and manuals comply with Standard Commercial Practice, MIL-II-45208A and MIL-Q-9858A. Quality assurance equipment (MIL-STD-45662) is available to verify the accuracy of the manufacturing process. A controlled environment room is utilized for product measurement.
